Big Apple NETS was organized in 2013 by New York City area residents whose lives were affected by carcinoid and pancreatic neuroendocrine cancers (generally referred to as neuroendocrine tumors, or “NETS”). The group’s primary purpose is to provide each other – NETS patients, caregivers, families and friends – with support and practical information. We think globally, but our focus remains on local NYC resources and events.
The Group currently holds meetings on the fourth Sunday of the month in a very informal Manhattan apartment setting where we share experiences, questions, concerns and advice.
The Group also sponsors quarterly events called Luncheon with the Experts. The luncheons are held in a more formal environment and feature panel discussions and Q&A sessions with leading oncologists, surgeons, researchers, and other specialist in the filed of Neuroendocrine Cancer.
If you live in the greater New York City area and are a NETs patient, caregiver, family or friend, please join us at our next monthly support group meeting. Meetings are free and no reservations required.
